Subject: Ranch Fire

Just a fast briefing on the Ranch Fire.

The size of the fire has more than doubled in size since last night. Currently the fire is burning in Piru and Hopper Canyon areas. Piru is under Recommend evacuation orders. At last report this morning fire was about 2 to 3 miles outside of Piru proper. Residents have been advised that they need to evacuate, according to the Sheriff's office. Not being able to predict how fire will move at any one time, ARC has 2 shelters on standby in the city of Santa Paula and one in the City of Ventura. There is one shelter at the present open in Fillmore for residents needing to evacuate.
